Last night was Mike's holiday party at The Mondrian Hotel on Sunset Blvd. The theme was a black and gold masquerade cocktail party and dinner. I wore an Aidan Mattox dress of course. :) It was a fun night!
To me every hour of the light and dark is a miracle,
Every cubic inch of space is a miracle.

May love and light fill your home and heart at Hanukkah. ~Author Unknown

May the lights of Hanukkah usher in a better world for all humankind. - Unknown
In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the Christians called it "Christmas" and went to church; the Jews called it "Hanukkah" and went to synagogue; the atheists went to parties and drank. People passing each other on the street would say "Merry Christmas!" or "Happy Hanukkah!" or (to the atheists) "Look out for the wall!" ~Dave Barry
The United States has a history of recognizing and celebrating Hanukkah in a number of ways, from menorah lighting ceremonies to a 1996 postage stamp, jointly issued with Israel, to special receptions in the White House (although the United States has not had any Jewish presidents).
